Michele Gates graduated with a BSc Hons in Law and Chemistry from Keele University in 1991 and completed her Solicitor’s Final Exams at Chester Law School a year later. After graduation she moved to the cosmopolitan world of South East London where she developed a special interest in children’s law. She also took the opportunity to upgrade her academic and professional qualifications by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Human Resources at the University of London and was soon promoted to Partner status in the largest law firm in the South East.
In the early 2000s Michele took a break from professional life and emigrated to Canada, where she used her people skills and managerial experience working in international student recruitment. “My time in Canada further enhanced my understanding of and commitment to a client centred approach to providing professional services”, she says.
In 2019 Michele returned to her West Midlands heritage and her enduring professional dedication to children’s law. Since joining Lewis Rodgers she has deployed her managerial skills and her global experience, heading up the Hanley Office care team, to provide a caring and compassionate service to clients in Staffordshire and beyond. “ I fully endorse the Lewis Rodgers commitment to detailed personal attention to every client” she says.
